Get Fit Faster!

Wouldn’t it be great if you found out you could workout SMARTER, not HARDER!?

I am here to tell you that not only is it possible, it is actually necessary for long-term results and getting fit faster.

So often women will jump into different fitness programs thinking any movement is good, right? I will start off with saying yes, simply finding ways to move your body more is helpful. If you are getting up and moving on the daily, fantastic! Keep going.

The place where women get derailed is when they pressure themselves to look a certain way or follow a certain trend, thinking they have to conform to the social standard or the lie that “I must not be doing enough.”

No, your body WILL need different things than someone else’s body. Your system, especially if you’re under a mountain of stress, will actually respond negatively to doing continuous heavy, high-stress exercise. So keep that in mind when you approach movement and workouts.

A quick note about getting started. If you are, for example, not exercising a ton, and looking at something like the free five-day challenge that we are starting, you may be excited about the fun recipes and nutrition, but resistant to the movement. That’s ok! This is actually going to be a great place for you to start because we will go through and talk about workouts designed specifically for women’s bodies and offer modifications!

So where do we go from here?

Here are the basics. When your goal is to maximize your time and get fit faster, one of the best things to incorporate is a workout called Tabata.

The best part about Tabata: you can tailor this to whatever time you have! If you only have five minutes to get some movement in, this form of exercise is for you. Many women also struggle with fatigue, mainly due to some ongoing hormone issues. So if you say things to yourself like, “Oh my gosh, there’s no way I could last an hour at the gym. I’m worried about even going to a 45 minute bootcamp.” That’s totally fine! Tabata can be tailored to your level of energy and you can build up your stamina up from there.

A little from my story…

I had multiple C-sections with my babies, so the recovery for my body after each birth was pretty brutal. I would literally start with four minutes of exercise at a time. That would be it for the day, because I’d be busy feeding babies and not sleeping and diapers and all the things that are included in keeping another human being alive! Tabata was the answer.

If you feel tired or stressed when it comes to exercise and movement, you can find more details of a basic Tabata routine I recommend in the following video: Get Fit Faster!
