Do you ever feel like your cycle is in control of your life??
One minute you are happy and productive, and the next, you are curled up on the couch with a box of kleenex, watching The Notebook on repeat. We’ve all been there!
As women, we really aren’t educated and supported to know and understand our own bodies… I mean, WHAT?! We all get that one class in 5th grade and a few pamphlets and then NO ONE TALKS ABOUT IT. Aside from the occasional tampon commercial, we really aren’t taught anything else about our bodies.
Understanding your body means understanding so many things like:
- Weight loss
- Performance
- Energy
- Sleep
- Stress
The first thing to know: you have a different body EACH WEEK of the month. That’s FOUR different versions of you!
Day 1 of your cycle starts on your period. If you are in menopause or have had a hysterectomy, you can still sync up with your cycle!
Day 1-14 is your Estrogen phase and Days 15-28 is your Progesterone phase. Each of the weeks in these phases has a different function and you will feel DIFFERENT!
This doesn’t mean you have to stop doing everything, it just means you can shift the ways you support your body so you can feel your best the whole month long!
I have a ton of resources that go into detail on all of this, if you are ready to dive in! Feel free to let me know if you have any questions too, I would love to chat.
