You need MORE protein!

First of all, protein is essential for building and maintaining muscle in the body. This is one of the most basic ways to boost your metabolism and burn fat for women!

You also need protein to achieve fat burning. When fat cells are not storing energy/sugars, they are kind of like fat pancakes. When they are storing energy, they fill up!

You don’t lose or gain fat cells, they just change size and shape. Why is this important? This is how fat burning works in your body!

Muscle tissue, on the other hand can build new fibers. And how does this happen? With protein! IF you are consuming nutrients that are not being used for muscle tissue, it can be stored as fat. But with protein, that is not the primary use for women!

If you are eating enough protein, you can maintain and build muscle tissue which is how you can burn fat and boost your metabolism!

On the other hand, if you are not getting enough protein and you are under stress, your body will break down the muscle tissue and use that for energy and store what’s remaining as fat!

This is why getting enough consistent protein is key! Especially with the changes and stress the body goes through during the stages of the female cycle.
