If you are looking for a quick fix for weight loss, but have a sick body, you will end up tired and discouraged.

Because weight loss is typically a side effect not the core issue. If you are dealing with sickness, disease, imbalance, etc. your body is focused on fighting that, not the weight!
Without your body working optimally, there is typically no way you can get your metabolism and system to shed fat unless you address the underlying issues.
