Do carbs make you gain weight?

So many women feel like as soon as they eat one bite of carbs, they gain ten pounds! This can be super frustrating – so what’s actually going on??

The truth is, if your metabolism is working as it should, your body can benefit from carbs and you can get the results you want.

The carbs themselves don’t make you fat, but there is a certain way to get them into your diet. You need a good balance of carbs, the right type of carbs, the right timing of carbs, etc.

Here are some reasons you can gain weight after eating carbs:

– Hormone Imbalance – your metabolism isn’t working as it should because of this hormonal imbalance and your system is craving carbs because it needs some energy.

– Did No carb – if you cut out carbs for a period of time, your body loses the ability to process and digest it properly. Your body doesn’t know how to use it, so it stores it as fat! You will have to teach your body how to burn carbs again.

– Stress – this is when your body is under too much stress. Your body can’t handle it and your brain runs off of carbohydrates, so this is when you find yourself in the kitchen, late at night, looking for something to snack on.

This is not a conversation about willpower, either. Willpower is not enough to support you in rebalancing your body and learning how to metabolize and enjoy carbs again, without letting them take over!
