When it comes to stress and cortisol, we are often talking about how to lower it or bad cortisol. What about a healthy cortisol response? We don’t want to get rid of cortisol entirely. Cortisol is like the three bears, you need an amount that is “just right”. A stress response can actually keep your body safe in some circumstances and a healthy stress response is more about how your body regulates after the event.
