Why is weight loss so much harder in menopause??

Weight loss is one of the top things that women struggle with in peri-menopause and menopause. There can be a lot of frustration that is pointed at yourself, because you are doing “all the right things” to lose weight, and yet it won’t budge.

The truth is, you literally have a new body once you go through menopause. It responds totally different to stress, nutrition, exercise… everything! Shifting these things to match your new body is the key to seeing results.

Unless you change things up with your lifestyle, it will be much harder to build muscle, which in turn makes it harder to burn fat. In menopause, this quickly goes into fat storage specifically around the midsection.
