I want to start by saying, this is very general advice, but I typically only recommend supplements on an individual basis.
Here are some general recommendations that are a good idea for women wanting to boost their fertility:
1. Protein: you might think “that’s food, not a supplement!” but in this context, I am talking about an additional boost of protein on top of what you get in your diet. You actually need more if you are focused on fertility. To get pregnant, stay pregnant and deliver a healthy baby is so much stress on your body and protein is the best way to combat that stress.
2. Maca – this can come in capsule or powder form. I recommend women add this right into their morning shake! Maca helps restore hormone balance – it’s great if you have estrogen dominance.
3. Shatavari – for fertility specifically, shatavari is very helpful with hormone balance and increasing libido. Getting a clean source of shatavari is important, without other additives! It is also great for combatting stress.
Remember, these supplements are in ADDITION to what you are already working on. Getting the foundations of eating for your cycle, dealing with stress, doing the right amount/type of exercise for your cycle, etc are very important.
My favorite test to customize a protocol for women is the DUTCH test. This is a dried urine test that I can send to you and then coach you through to see exactly what is going on with your hormones.
