803. Estrogen and Gut Health: Bloating in Perimenopause

In this episode I explain why your gut and your hormones are in constant two-way communication, how shifting estrogen in perimenopause slows your digestion and drives that afternoon bloat, and why the probiotics and elimination diets you have been trying may be targeting the wrong thing.

Gut issues are not something I talk about from the outside. I live with a sensitive stomach and celiac myself, so I know how frustrating it is to do everything right and still feel awful. I get into how estrogen shapes the bacteria in your gut, how your gut in turn decides how much estrogen stays in your body, and why that feedback loop can leave you puffy, gassy, and suddenly reacting to foods like eggs and salads that never used to bother you.

If you are tired of guessing your way through probiotics and powders that never quite work, join me for my FREE gut workshop on Sunday, September 20th at 7PM Central. I will go deeper into the estrogen and gut connection, what to actually test, and simple shifts you can start this week. If you cannot make it live, register anyway and I will send you the replay.
