Frequently Asked Questions
Process & testing
What makes your approach different?
We do not guess.
We test before we treat.
We interpret before we prescribe.
We sequence before we supplement.
Most women who come to us have already tried protocols built from symptoms alone. They were handed supplements without seeing their cortisol rhythm. Given estrogen support without knowing how they metabolize estrogen. Told their thyroid was “fine” based on one marker.
We use comprehensive functional hormone testing alongside detailed bloodwork. When appropriate, we also run functional gut testing to assess digestion, inflammation, microbial balance, immune markers, and the terrain influencing hormone recirculation.
Hormones and gut function are not separate systems. They are in constant conversation. We evaluate both when needed.
Your plan is built from data, not assumptions.
What is functional hormone testing?
Functional hormone testing looks at more than whether a hormone is present.
It shows how your body is producing, metabolizing, and clearing hormones across the day and across pathways. This includes cortisol rhythm, estrogen metabolism patterns, progesterone metabolites, DHEA reserve, testosterone patterns, and markers that reflect neurotransmitter turnover and nutrient sufficiency.
It gives us the cascade. Not just a snapshot.
Do you always run gut testing too?
Not automatically.
We use functional gut testing when symptoms or history suggest that digestion, microbial balance, inflammation, immune markers, or estrogen recirculation are playing a significant role.
If bloating, food reactions, constipation, loose stools, or long-standing gut issues are present, we assess the terrain directly instead of guessing.
Sometimes hormones are the driver.
Sometimes the gut is amplifying the hormonal dysfunction.
Often, it is both.
We determine that strategically.
My doctor said my labs are normal. Can you still help me?
Yes.
There is a difference between statistically normal and functionally optimal.
Many conventional labs use wide reference ranges. They often do not assess cortisol rhythm, estrogen metabolism pathways, progesterone metabolites, DHEA reserve, or functional gut markers at all.
“Normal” often means incomplete.
Structure & support
Do you have a specific program?
We do not run a rigid, one-size-fits-all program.
We build support around what your physiology actually needs.
For some women, that means prioritizing cortisol and sleep stabilization first.
For others, it means addressing estrogen metabolism, progesterone support, or thyroid conversion.
For others, gut repair is foundational.
Your testing determines your sequence.
Your body determines the pace.
How long does it take to see improvement?
That depends on how long your system has been dysregulated.
Many women notice sleep shifts once cortisol is supported appropriately. Mood often stabilizes when progesterone metabolites are restored. Energy improves as DHEA, thyroid conversion, and nutrient status normalize.
But we are not masking symptoms. We are rebuilding physiology.
Meaningful hormonal shifts typically occur over several months because endocrine systems respond in cycles, not overnight.
Do you prescribe hormones?
No.
We support the body naturally.
That includes targeted nutritional therapy, strategic supplementation, nervous system regulation, blood sugar stabilization, gut repair, and lifestyle shifts that directly influence hormone production and clearance.
Our focus is restoring function. Not overriding it.
Will I be on supplements forever?
No.
Supplements are tools. Not permanent fixtures.
We use them to correct deficiencies, support pathways, and restore stability. As your physiology strengthens, we reduce and remove what is no longer needed.
The goal is resilience. Not dependency.
Logistics
Where do you work with clients?
We work virtually with women across the country and internationally.
Location does not limit support.
Do you work with women on birth control?
Yes.
Hormonal birth control changes the hormone landscape, but it does not prevent us from supporting cortisol rhythm, nutrient depletion, gut health, and underlying physiology.
We adapt testing and strategy accordingly.
Do you work with perimenopausal and menopausal women?
Yes.
Hormonal shifts during perimenopause and menopause are significant, but they are not random chaos.
Cortisol, estrogen metabolism, progesterone decline, DHEA reserve, thyroid function, and gut integrity all influence how that transition feels.
We assess the full picture rather than attributing everything to age.
investment
What is the investment?
Support is customized based on your testing needs and level of care.
We believe finances should not be the reason someone stays stuck.
We offer flexible payment options and work with you to create a structure that feels manageable.
The goal is access to care. Not exclusion from it.
Is this covered by insurance?
Functional testing and consulting are typically not covered by insurance.
Some bloodwork may qualify for partial reimbursement depending on your provider, but specialized functional hormone and gut testing are usually out-of-pocket. However if you have an HSA or FSA this is often an option.
We provide documentation when applicable.

Concerns & objections
What if I've already tried everything?
Most women who come to us have tried many things.
Candida protocols without cortisol testing.
Estrogen supplements without metabolite data.
Probiotics without evaluating gut inflammation.
Adaptogens without understanding cortisol production versus clearance.
You have likely tried pieces.
We assemble the full picture.
What if my case is complicated?
Complex does not mean unfixable.
Hormonal cascades involve multiple systems: adrenal function, ovarian output, liver clearance, thyroid conversion, gut integrity, nutrient status, nervous system tone.
We evaluate the interactions. Not isolated symptoms.
What if I'm afraid testing will find something serious?
Your symptoms are already signaling that something needs attention.
Testing does not create a problem.
It clarifies one.
Clarity reduces fear. It does not increase it.
What happens on the initial discovery call?
We review your history and symptom timeline in detail.
We identify likely cascade patterns.
We discuss what testing would provide the most clarity.
We answer your questions.
You decide whether moving forward feels aligned.
There is no pressure. Only information.
